About this plugin
The plugin connects an AI agent to Google Cloud Spanner through MCP Toolbox, letting you explore schemas, query data, manage databases, troubleshoot issues and generate code from table definitions using natural-language prompts.
It runs the prebuilt server through npx. You need Node.js, a Google Cloud project with the Spanner API enabled, Application Default Credentials, suitable Spanner IAM permissions, and values for the project, instance and database environment variables. The SQL dialect can be set to GoogleSQL or PostgreSQL.
