Pydicom skill: what it does and how to install it

What it does. Uses pydicom and local helper CLIs to inspect DICOM metadata, plan frame and memory use, decode or render pixels, manage transfer syntaxes, write datasets and review pseudonymised derivatives. It restricts output with allowlists and supports technical inventories, audits and UID-map validation.

When to use it. For authorised local DICOM files and bounded de-identification workflows. It does not access PACS, DIMSE or DICOMweb services, and is not a diagnostic viewer or a guarantee of regulatory compliance.
