PostHog Debugger plugin: what it installs and how to add it

Inspects and diagnoses PostHog implementations on live websites through browser automation, including configuration, feature flags and network activity.

From the Marketplace: PostHog-skills marketplace

Install

> /plugin marketplace add PostHog/skills> /plugin install posthog-debugger@PostHog-skills

Run both lines inside Claude Code: the first adds the marketplace, the second installs the plugin.

About this plugin

The plugin examines how PostHog is implemented on a website by inspecting the global or bundled PostHog client, its configuration, loaded modules, feature flags, identity values and network requests. It reports the API host, library version, persistence, autocapture, session recording and common implementation issues.

Provide a page URL and ask about its PostHog setup, session recording, feature flags or captured traffic. It can work with authenticated pages, but requires browser automation through Chrome DevTools MCP or Playwright MCP. Chrome DevTools MCP requires Chrome to run with remote debugging enabled.
