About this skill

What it does. Explains how MSBuild evaluation and execution affect generated files, then shows how to register them inside targets. It covers Compile, Content and None items, FileWrites, $(IntermediateOutputPath), globs and target timing such as BeforeBuild or CoreCompile.

When to use it. Use it when a build-generated source or physical file is missing from compilation, output or clean-up. It does not cover general item Include/Remove/Update semantics, metadata or batching, duplicate declarations, generated-item identity relationships, Roslyn source generators or non-MSBuild systems.
