About this skill
What it does. Analyses MCU, memory, timing and power constraints, then plans architecture, drivers, interrupts and RTOS integration. Produces firmware code with checks for compiler warnings, static analysis, resource use, timing, stack headroom and deadline behaviour, while requiring safe ISR and synchronisation patterns.
When to use it. For STM32, ESP32 and similar work involving FreeRTOS, bare-metal peripherals, DMA, communication protocols, power management or real-time behaviour. It also covers watchdogs, error handling and hardware register access.
