About this skill
What it does. Collects production .NET diagnostic traces by matching the symptom, runtime, operating system, deployment and privileges to PerfView, dotnet-trace, collect-linux, perfcollect or dotnet-monitor. It provides installation, PID discovery, collection commands, container guidance, long-running capture settings and artifact handoff details, then points to suitable analysis tools without analysing the trace.
When to use it. Applies to production issues such as high CPU, memory growth, slow requests, hangs, excessive GC and networking or assembly-loading failures. It is not for code performance reviews, development benchmarking or analysing collected trace and dump files.
