About this skill

What it does. Uses the Google Cloud Data Lineage MCP server to query upstream and downstream graph paths for a table or field, checking supported regions and applying configurable depth and result limits. It turns table- or column-level lineage into a left-to-right Markdown report covering systems, assets, processing steps and query metadata.

When to use it. For understanding data provenance and tracing how data enters or leaves a BigQuery or Cloud Storage asset. It does not cover generic BigQuery queries, editing lineage, deprecation or downstream blast-radius analysis.
