About this skill
What it does. Provides templates and guidance for writing ADRs in standard, lightweight, Y-statement, RFC and deprecation formats. It covers decision lifecycles, directory organisation, indexes, review checklists and adr-tools commands for creating, linking and managing records.
When to use it. For significant architectural choices, technology selection, design trade-offs, historical reviews and decision processes. It distinguishes decisions worth recording from routine maintenance, bug fixes and minor version upgrades.
