About this plugin
The plugin brings AWS Transform's assess, plan, transform and validate workflow into an AI coding agent. It can guide migrations such as .NET Framework to .NET 8 or 10, COBOL to Java, VMware VMs to EC2, databases to Aurora, and Java, Python, Node.js or AWS SDK upgrades. It also analyses codebases for technical debt, security issues and modernisation opportunities before remediation.
Use it when moving or upgrading workloads for AWS. It requires uv to launch the MCP server and AWS credentials or an IAM Identity Center session. Custom transformations additionally require the AWS Transform CLI (atx).
